Berlitz Method
The direct or natural method is basically,
the easiest way to learn a different language. And the most effective way to
teach it.
The learner is immersed in an environment
that make it easy the progress, with everyday sentences as first step during
the process.
All the instructions given by the teacher or
opinions, conversations, even the most trivial by the students, needs to be in
the target language.
The oral communications skills are organized
progressively with intensive communication teacher-student. Making emphasized
in the correct pronunciation and grammar to share the ideas between them.
The grammar is taught inductively which means
that the learner needs to know the grammatical rules first, and then applied
the knowledge in a real verbal expression.
One of the most interesting features of this method is that the basic vocabulary is learned with real demonstrations, pictures, etc. Things a student can physically interact with, like dramatize.
In the other hand the abstract vocabulary is taught by association.
For instance:
A group of child in the classroom quickly learn that when the bell rings, class is over.
The Berlitz method is the better way to learn
because is very friendly and stress-free. That shows that mistakes are part of
the process.
