Multiple intelligences
Multiple intelligences are a model proposed by Howard Gardner that states that there are different types of intelligence that develop in people.
Multiple intelligences refer to a thinking model that proposes the existence of a set of abilities and skills, which can be developed by people based on biological, personal and social factors.
The 8 types of multiple intelligences according to Gardner are:
- Linguistic-verbal intelligence: oral and written language ability.
- Logical-mathematical intelligence: capacity for logical reasoning and solving mathematical problems.
- Spatial intelligence: ability to perceive and represent space and shapes.
- Musical intelligence: talent to appreciate and create music.
- Kinesthetic intelligence: skill in movement and body control.
- Intrapersonal intelligence: knowledge and management of one's own emotions and motivations.
- Interpersonal intelligence: ability to relate to and understand others.
- Naturalistic intelligence: sensitivity and knowledge of the natural environment.
