And well, like everything beautiful in life, it must come to an end.💔 I received a very special certificate, which certifies the 120 hours dedicated to Didactics and it has been one of the most beautiful subjects of the degree. My journey is slowly coming to an end and I am really excited and I try to take all the positive things I can get, I enjoyed this a lot. Well, I can really only say that it was my last class with Lic Orlando Alas. Who, besides being an excellent professor, is a great human being, full of love and affection for other people, and promotes empathy and is the best cheerleader for everyone. He is the #1 fan of each of his students and it is something that I will miss. I am really very happy with the person I am becoming, I know there is more potential in me and I hope to always give the best of myself whenever I can, I have faith that my future will be good since I am not leaving empty-handed. I am leaving with advice and experiences😎 I WILL MISS SOME OF MY CL...

"There is/There are"

Imagen
In English, There is and There are are used to indicate the existence of nouns, such as objects, people, animals, places, etc. This structure is widely used in the description of places such as houses, apartments, parks, etc. What do these expressions mean? The meaning is quite simple. Both expressions mean "there is" or ¨Hay¨ in Spanish. Examples: There is a sofa in the kitchen. / Hay un sofá en la cocina. There are three sofas in the kitchen. / Hay tres sofás en la cocina. In both sentences the meaning in Spanish is the same: hay. What is the difference between There is and There are? Basically the difference is that There is  used with a SINGULAR complement (which means that we are talking about one thing, person, place, etc.) There are is used with a PLURAL complement (which means that we are talking about two or more things, people or places): Examples There is a curtain in my bedroom. / Hay una cortinas en mi dormitorio. There are 2 curtains in my bedroom. / Hay dos...

Didactica actividad   It´s your choice  - pag 27  A good way to teach our future students is through educational games. In this case, I chose this type of fun method because guessing the word that is being taught seems very interesting to me, since this way, students practice the pronunciation to spell the hidden word and keep their minds active. In this case, the statement tells us that one of the recommendations could be to create cards with the letters and stick them on the board so that the student focuses on deciphering the hidden word, and if there is an error when deciphering the word, letters are eliminated to create difficulty and to work more on their knowledge.

My experience in didactics this cycle❤

Imagen
Tuesday the 17th was the day of our last exhibition of the year and it was great. Before starting the class there was an emergency drill in case of earthquakes, led by the great and powerful Mr. Orlando Alas 😁 he was specially trained for these very important moments, which for me is a great act of bravery 👏 because his job is to make sure that the building is empty in case of emergency, that students and teachers leave safely according to protocol, and it really is a very noble act on his part, since I as an ordinary human would run out to save my life. 😨 Then we went on to the presentation about the afternoon routines, where we learned vocabulary related to the routines according to the time of day We explained with a song, to learn more vocabulary when explaining our daily routine Vocabulary for afternoon activities Through games and dynamics, we explain to the students what part of the day the vocabulary corresponds to and in the same way we teach them how they can say what thei...

Reading comprehension

Imagen
Reading comprehension Reading comprehension: is defined as the ability to read a text, analyze it, and grasp its meaning. This ability goes beyond simply recognizing the meaning of isolated words; it also involves understanding the context in which the text is presented, interpreting the author's intention, and making inferences based on prior knowledge. This skill is essential to the learning process and to effective communication, as it facilitates individuals' interaction with the vast world of literature and allows them to extract valuable information from the texts they read. There are various strategies that can help enhance reading comprehension. Reading aloud One of the most effective is reading aloud, which allows both sight and hearing to be involved in the process of assimilating information. This approach not only facilitates better retention of content, but also favors the development of skills related to pronunciation and intonation, which in turn can increase ove...

The PDP method

Imagen
The PDP (Pre, During, Post) method It is a pedagogical strategy used primarily to improve listening  and  reading  comprehension in language learning. Each stage has a clear purpose to guide students through the comprehension process, from activating prior knowledge to subsequent reflection and production. 1. Warm-up (Activate prior knowledge) The goal here is to prepare students and activate their prior knowledge related to the topic. This makes comprehension easier because students can connect what they already know with the new information they are going to receive. Activities: This can include quick discussions, open-ended questions about the topic, or having students share what they know. The focus is on familiarizing themselves with the context before delving deeper into the topic. 2. Pre (Prepare students) This phase focuses on anticipating the content. The teacher presents visual, auditory, or textual materials that allow students to reflect on the topic, ...

Greetings and Introductions ✌

Imagen
It is essential to understand the importance of greeting and introducing ourselves in our daily interactions, as these acts not only establish a first contact, but also create an atmosphere of respect and cordiality. When greeting, we show courtesy and recognition towards the other person, which can facilitate communication and foster more positive interpersonal relationships. In addition, introducing ourselves properly allows others to know our identity and context, which can be crucial in professional and social environments. 👇Here are some examples that can help you if you want to learn how to greet in English or Spanish. Saludos formales/Formal greetings 1. Good morning – Buenos días (hasta el mediodía). 2. Good afternoon – Buenas tardes (después del mediodía hasta aproximadamente las 6 p.m.). 3. My first day as a teacher

Imagen
Hello, welcome to a new blog. Today I want to tell you about my experience as my first day as a teacher. The truth is I was very scared because I don't understand why I can't overcome my fear of speaking in public. However, this time I think I rehearsed a lot. I was sure of what I was going to say, even though I stuttered. I am very, very proud of myself for daring to stand in front of so many people I didn't know and explain something that took me a long time to learn. I think that this is what being a teacher is all about: overcoming your fears in order to teach how to make things a little easier for other people. On this occasion, we learned about our personal introduction, we taught how we should introduce ourselves to people or rather to create bonds with people, so we taught them the Introduce Myself. The Introduce Myself is to talk a little about ourselves or give a short introduction of our personal information such as our name, our full name, our nickname, our age,...

Exhibitions

Imagen
This week, as the title of my new blog entry, it is about the presentations we did this week. The presentations were practically at the midterm. The midterm was about us practicing as a teacher. Being a teacher is a very important part for us, since we are students, so we have experience in having someone guide us around our time as learners. In this case, didactics teaches us how to be the best version of a teacher possible, whether for whatever our future job is or whatever we dedicate ourselves to. As we have said before, teaching is learning, so this week was an adventure. I admit one thing that I did not like. Most groups went because it seemed like more exposure to being able to learn something. However, we are all learning about how to teach, so I am extremely confident that later on we will be able to teach a class on our own I had the great honor of being part of one of my favorite groups in the classroom, so I tried to give it 110% We taught our class, we even did activities ...
